Red Tide?

I'm coming down to visit a friend in Islamorada to do some bug diving and spearfishing next week. Any good sugestions fairly close to shore?

Also, he mentioned something about the start of a red tide. Any truth to this? How has the water visability been?

I just returned from a week in Las Vegas...let me get some feelers out and I'll post in a day or two with what I find out

no one has seen any Red Tide and water looks as good as ever, mild stir from the thunderstorms but over all very good
