I had a posting about a month ago but sold my Invader walk around and purchased a Thompson 240 hardtop. I normally fish the great lakes but plan on fishing the saltwater 4-5 times per year. Below are the questions I have:

Would anyone be willing to buddy up by phone or radio to communicate technics, reports, navigation, or any other fishing or boating issues?

Is there somewhere I could rent some larger trolling equipment?

Anyone interested in being a mate or just fishing with us?

Any Charter that wouldn't mind me following them out and in? I will stay far away while fishing so I would not be in your way or interfere with your fishing trips.

I have some people that have been very helpful with information. I'm looking to just enjoy myself fishing with my family while Im there. I may keep one or two fish but all others would be released or what should I do with them. I'm going to purchase 4 TLD 25's with 30-50 lb. rods, and a gaf.

My boat is equipped with four downriggers, triple tree rod holders, thru hull rod holders, Lowrance 525 Sonar/GPS, VHF, Coastal flare kit, life vest, throwable cushions with ropes, high speed Danforth Compass, Net

Are there any more items I should purchase?

My trailer is painted steel with electric brakes would this be okay if I rinse it off well after puliing the boat at the end of the day?

Any advice, help or additional information would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
The "Wayniac"

We're planning to spend either that week or the week after on the outer banks. We'll try make a couple of trips offshore probably out of OI during that week. Of course it will depend on weather and the rest of the family's schedule. (I'm not the social director). We have an Albemarle 24.

I will be there on the 23rd hopefully fishing with my boat on the 24th. and also have a charter with the boat FishinFrenzy on sat. (have been fishing with them for about 6 years should get some good info) I will talk to the capton and the mate on thursday and get as much info as possible. If you would like to fish give me a call 804-370-8599 and we can work together. The more boats we can get together the better. I am no pro at the offshore thing but will get as much knowledge that I can to help us. feel free to give me a call on thursday the 23 and we can get stuff straight. Deepbleusea and jimpyne if we can work together that would be great lets all try to hook up and get some meat in our boats.

I'll be fishing a Thompson 240 Hardtop and looking for other boats to buddy up with My number is 412-603-0070 Wayne Chechak. I will fish out of Oregon Inlet or Hatteras doesn't matter. I have never fished off shore with my own boat I normally fish Great Lakes. I have alot of information, charts, and equipment from freinds that fish there a couple times a year. hey tell me the more boats you can run with the better. Hope to find some boats to make these trips with.
