Wow...08-04 Bandit Gets 3rd Citation

[Third Child]

After alot of fun from the night before, We decide to head out around 4:00am to beat some of the weekend traffic. Our crew of Wayne ( Bandit), Capt Bremer, Tim(Silver Fox), Deb and myself Back on our SE heading. Wayne puts makes Bandit on of the first boats on a weed line that morning. Ended up with a bunch of bailers and a couple of gaffers,t Ms. Deb her first Dolphin catch. After the bite slows, we work on trolling again. Pretty slow all day and hot through the morning to Deb and I take a nap in the great AC accommodations of Bandit. Boat always takes care of us. I was definitely a little tired from lack of sleep and two evenings of Orange Crushes. Even took a while to get into the Natural Lites with Tim. All of a sudden, Deb and awake to the screaming of a hook-up. We have a white in the teaser. Tim works the flat next to the teaser, Wayne works the horse in the other flat. Capt Kevin works the fish to almost right next to the boat...(I'm wide awake now!!)..the fish turns off and goes right for Wayne's bait. Hook-up!!!:thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: Bandit is on her way to first Marlin Release!!!

Thanks to the whole crew for a wonderful day on the water. By most reports sounds like we came out pretty well. Started the day with a few Dolphin around a nice weedline and then moved off to let others enjoy the same. Rest of the day was slower until the White came in on our Pink Squid teaser and then things got exciting. Tim and I were sitting in the Pit enjoying the day when we saw the White. We both jumped up to drop back baits while Kevin pulled in the teaser. The White came within about ten feet of the boat and made a hard left and came crashing back across the spread and attacked my mackeral offering! Waited about 4 seconds before I hit the strike zone and the fight was on!!!!! What a beautiful sight seeing that fish tail walk and air out. It was neat seeing two or three other boats stop to watch the fight as well.

All I kept thinking was "Please don't spit the hook!" After about 15 minutes the fish is at the back of the boat and Tim reaches over a grabs the bill and we bring the fish in for a few pictures and the fish goes back after a 5 minute revival. High fives all around to Hank, Deb, Tim and Kevin. Tim especially did an awesome job in handling and releasing the fish.

Ended the day with a mysterious Bill hit on the shotgun bird green machine combo, but equipment failures doomed us with drag getting stuck. Kevin Bremer did an awesome job droping the rig back to hook the fish only to lose the battle to equipment. We were lucky enough to retrieve our rig after turning back. Another great day on the water. Thanks to my able crew of friends for helping with the White!!!!:D :D
