8/4 Norfolk Canyon

Lines in before sunrise. Fifteen minutes later...spreader bar gets murdered. 65# tuner in the box after a nice fight. Worked our way around the canyon. Tried out deep but didn't see a thing. Didn't get another knock down for a few hours. ZZZZZZZZZZ....Planer rod starts screaming....fast! Spooled us to the backing before we got control. The reel was steaming; too hot to touch the drag. Turned out to be one tough tuner close to 70#. He must have been on the juice!

We searched and searched for the rest of the day. There were a lot of bailer dolphin on the lobster balls but we decided we had enough at home in the freezer. Saw some whales, two-tones and a couple of turtles before calling it at 4.

It was a slow, hot day out there.

Good job, We caught our 1 YFT Sat near the Lobster balls, but no bailers were around any of them, Sure was a nice day out there.
