First offshore skunking in a looooooong time... Lines in at the 20 fathom line by 6:45 & we trolled around the fingers then off to the hambone. Drug meat-naked & skirted, spreaders, cedars, gm/birds, super stretch 30's, daisy chains.... marked little...saw none...found some nice temp breaks & thermo's, worked a bait ball for an hour+++...no heavy marks in the bait...
then we chunked on the bone on a temp break and in the middle of a bunch of big-ole-sea-turtles (good sign) ...not a sign of anything else....
tried to run to the Jackspot to save the day (as usuall) but the steep 3-4' head seas stopped that... trolled back to the 20 line with more mahi type stuff in the spread... nada...
most boats were scatterd about...we saw no strikes...
got arse kicked on way home....
