Are the scallop boats dragging off Ocean City? Any sightings?

The areas out of OC are closed to the draggers for scallops. There is some clamming goin on though. G

just got back from a tuna trip off OCMD. We saw a drag boat that the capt. said was a scallop boat. He was just on the west side and a little North of Massey's Canyon.
BTW- we caught 2 nice bluefin and lost our third (a real PIG) at boatside when the swivel got caught in a roller guide

Saw 3 commercial boats draging for something north of masseys today

Saw 1/2 dozen Sat near the Chicken Bone/Masseys.

can't get within 300 yards of them. there have been a few "incidents" between the draggers and fishing boats. coast guard is said to be enforcing this new "reg" or whatever you want to call it. Our captain said all the dragger has to do is get your boat name or numbers and call in a report.

I've never had a problem. On several occasions the captain or deckhand has called me over to their transom and pointed out which side to drop lines. Beer also helps....
