they happen to be pics from when I stayed at the White Sands Inn about 5 minutes north of Marathon on Grassy Key, big wadeable flats witha nice drop off about 600 yds out where I caught other deeper water species, the view from my temp rental place is almost as nice...I have some pics of clouds at sunset that people just ooooo and AHAHAH at there really is a reason people here call it living in Paradise...

Al pack a couple packs of fishbites ( I use the bloodworm, but others may work as well) to catch your bait fish with, pinfish and everything else jump all over them, I even tip my sabiki's with a "TINY" piece and the speed of the catch goes UP dramatically...If you can find them down here they are about $13-15 a bag...what bridge you planning on fishing? checkout Boatless fishing web site click on forums/monroe county

Just got back from UPS, shipping the rods. Ellen was just shaking her head watching me pack my suitcase last night... more tackle than clothes.:D

Capt. Welder... thanks for the heads up. I'd wondered about the season and figured I'd check when I got there... can you catch'em & release for fun (Ellen's a lobster freak)? Is there any shrimping to be done?

Bob- I checked out the site a couple times, and "think" I have a plan.

Dave it was a nice place to stay, they were (are) nice people, they kept my room spotless and when I needed more freezer room to keep some key lime pies I was bringing back for my neighbors they cleaned out the stuff in the office refrig and met me early ( before the office hours so to speak) so I could get them out and in my cooler for the ride home. BBQ grills with charcoal and tools are avail for people to use, some paddle boats and row boats also avail,
another TF'r stayed at the Rainbows Bend about a quarter mile up the road and he liked it a lot also...so you might want to check it out also

on the chance you check in before flying out in the AM ...I know you won't be able to sleep tonight...I was up at Craig Key (channel #2) and there were tons of huge Tarpon rolling and feeding on the incoming tide on the edge of the flats on the gulfside...I jumped 3 landed 0...didn't see anyone else hook up

Thanks for the info about White Sands...we'll check it out. I'm jazzed about your tarpon report at Channel 2...can't wait ....just a few more days! I hope Al is chatchin'. If you see a gorgeous blonde hooked up with a tarpon in a Pathfinder with a fat, ugly guy at the helm...that'll be me and the mrs... she only loves me for my ability to put her on big fish! A lot of guys need Viagra... all I need is fresh bait! See ya soon!
