This year for the first time since I was a kid I am fishing for stocked trout. Brought a couple home Wednesday but the wife and I are not sure exactly how to prepare them.
We cut the head, tail and fins off and gutted them then split in half running the knife to the side of the back bone.
Then mixed up butter and corn meal and dredged the fish. Fried in a cast iron skillet.
Turned out pretty good, but was wondering how other people might prepare their fish?
Thanks, Lance.
