First of all Robert Smith call me we got Rockfish to catch (I lost your Number). Getting reports of fish to 28 inches comming from buddies had me itching to get out and fish as my boat yard lost my prop and kept me out of the water until Friday. Touched up on the boat Saturday and gave them a try Sunday morning and hardly made it out of the creek before birds flying high and intersted made me stop to just givem a try. Never got the third line out before the two steels doubled up. Well being by myself I could only keep two but C&R fish catching 20 or so to 20 inches in about an hour. Never got to my big fish spot but I can tell you the bigger fish are still in the river. Wire lined double bucktails had me reeling in fish two at time. Know you guys are catching out in the bay but you guys passing up the river are missing some good fishing.
Have a good one

Right outside Lagrange/Robinson Creek. Better fishing as far as 20 to 24 inch fish with some bigger would exspect to be from Old 9 up to Tappahanock. Another post about Power lines and bouy 13 is prime spots for nicer river fish right now. Josh and I will be hunting them this weekend weather pemitting and right now I'm thinking I might stay at Remlik to try and catch bigger fish for my charters instead of move to Deltaville right away. Stretch 15, 25s seem to catch the bigger fish for me while the wire lined bucktails right on the bottom are historically the limit makers. I try to stick with bucktails and hard baits as the blues are hard on the plastics. I also catch lost of trout fishing this way.

Thanks for the report - hope to get out Saturday after a ten week hiatus due to my new son! I'll have to spend about two hours getting the boat changed out from flounder season as the last time I was in it was last week of July. It may end up being a go to the boat run this weekend and never get off the lift. But, wait till next year as I can't wait to have the excuse ' gotta take the boy fishing hunny'.

Jimmy I've got a guy booked for Nov 5th that is requesting to fish the mid Rapp only so I proably will be moving your way the 6th. Looking foward to fishing with the Deltaville crew. If things get really good I'll be sure to give you a call or shoot you an email. I'll also be sure and tell dad you said hello and pass on your mesage which I'm sure will put a smile on his face.
Have a good one
